In life, we have obstacles we are constantly trying to overcome. Our obstacles are physical and psychological depending on each situation. We devise plans to move through barriers that hinder our path. Living in Wyoming has made me think a lot about fences since the state is divided and broken up by them.

The Wyoming fence is used to keep in livestock, but it also keeps out other animals and people. Psychologically, the fences make a person feel acutely aware of the places they are unwanted Fences put an end to open ranges, unknown territory, and the notion of wild west. Ultimately, it stands for a loss of freedom to be wild or move, about a land unhindered. Inside all of us is the desire to live more freely, break through fences, and run wild with our hearts desires. Society has slowly fenced these desires in to where they have become distant memories like the Wild West.

But how do we climb fences, break through walls so our inner-self can remain free to dream and live a beautiful life, unhindered by the restraints of a sterile reality. We can choose to climb fences in many fantastical ways. We do not always have to feel like the unwanted or incapable.

In life, a person must learn to give in order to preserver through obstacles, essentially we must learn how to fly, climb, break through, dissolve, challenge, and move through each wall that may crop up.
