The Kite Lady

The Kite Lady series was created to illustrate my desire to tell the viewer a story. I saw this series as a lead into all my other work in order to emphasize the fact that each series is a story. I have invented a whimsical idea of a person who is able to float from place to place, unaffected by planes, trains, or automobiles. On any given occasion the Kite Lady is able to up and fly away, the amazing life of a kite. The kite Lady can float beautifully from place to place as her heart desires; a dream I think most people harbor. She is supposed to be the viewer’s magical guide into each story. The Kite Lady has many guises, but her face is the common thread in every photograph.
